Cyd & Nancy's Holiday Pop-Up Studion Sale
Cyd and I are excited to share something special with you this holiday season! We’re having a pop-up studio sale at the Scottsdale United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 22 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. You can explore several different portfolios of our individual work at hard-to-resist seasonal pricing. We’ll have both framed and unframed pieces on hand. Think selections from Nan’s Luminance series (those gorgeous gesso prints of double exposure botanicals)! Think Cyd’s Even the Poles Move series (those otherworldly abstracts of magnetic fluids)! Always wanted one of Nan’s unique lumens or metal prints? Maybe one of Cyd’s gently glowing landscapes gilded with 24 kt gold leaf? Now’s the time! We hope you’ll join us at this casual in-person studio sale. Just in time for holiday gift-giving. Inside the Translucent Light
Inside the Translucent Light is a two-person exhibition, featuring individual and collaborative work by artists Cyd Peroni and Nancy Miiller. Both artists use translucent paper (vellum) for its ability to transform the subject matter, but they treat the medium in different ways. Nancy creates dreamlike illusions via in-camera double exposures, prints on vellum and backs with white gesso. Cyd renders fleeting moments from the landscape, prints on vellum and backs with 24 kt gold leaf. Both achieve a sense of depth and a quality of light in their work. Cyd embracing quiet shadows to evoke a joy within melancholy. Nancy capturing an internal glow that revels in highlights. Opening Reception: February 27, 2025 5:30 - 7:30
