artist

I was born and raised in Arizona as the youngest of 5 children. I graduated from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 2016 with a BFA in Illustration with a minor in Printmaking and Book Arts, then moved back home to Arizona. As a transgender / non-binary individual, my artwork depicts my unique view of the world. I focus a lot on the human condition, using funky, surreal, and colorful imagery to express those thoughts and feelings. Living in Arizona, the beautiful desert is seen quite a bit in my work, along with portraiture, the dark yet colorful, psychedelic themes, and my love for animals. My work varies in medium primarily from acrylic to watercolor, pen and ink, to book binding and various printmaking techniques.

Janna Blackburn

Janna Blackburn

artist

Janna Blackburn an Abstract Artist living in Maricopa, Arizona. I recently started dipping my pallet knives, paintbrushes, and fingers into my paints after many years of not even giving any thought to art. It’s been an amazing wonderful progression of self-discovery. Fluid art and intuitive abstracts has helped me to identify a part of myself which presented a control aspect that was not particularly healthy or healing. My art journey has helped to heal parts of myself emotional and spiritual being by giving me a voice to express that have been damaged by long term health issues. The paints provide a platform for self-expression to focus on the visual beauty that my surroundings have to offer instead of the reminders for things I cannot control. Currently I've been exploring more outside the realm of fluid art painting, by adding texture to my artwork. This has brought in a new twist of excitement to see if I can capture the same feelings that my fluid art has been able to produce. What I strive for in each of my pieces is a sense of serenity. I want to draw the viewer in by exploring all areas of the canvas while giving a place to rest your eyes before moving to another area of the artwork.

Erin Wilkins

Erin Wilkins

artist

I was raised in Colorado, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains with the most breathtaking scenery and changing seasons. Since I was little, I've been inspired by the beauty of nature and the ever changing art in the sky - sunsets, clouds, storms, and the stars. My inspiration not only comes from the beauty of our world, but from emotions and memories as well. Creating art allows me a way to express my feelings on canvas for the world to interpret in their own way, sparking their own emotions, and igniting the viewer's imagination to see the beauty in their own individual ways. I remember seeing Monet's 'Water Lilies' in a museum for the first time, and I still recall the feelings I had when looking at such an iconic, breathtaking piece with awe and admiration. Art is the raw expression of our hearts - driven by emotion,  and I hope to create a bit of beauty in this world that sparks your imagination!  -Erin Wilkins Phoenix, Arizona USA

Bela Fidel

Bela Fidel

artist

Bela Fidel's first passion is creating. She is a mixed media artist working in Scottsdale, AZ. Bela’s body of work is informed by her experiences of having lived in three different countries and her exposure to their culture and outlook on life. This can be felt in the rich layering and texturing of her abstract work in oils, encaustics and mixed media. Bela’s other passion is animals, both domestic and wild. Her love and compassion for all sentient creatures led her to create a series in oils, Endangered, Threatened and Exploited Species, with an aim to raise people’s awareness about the plight of these animals. Bela has been showing her work for many decades at a variety of art venues, both in Los Angeles and in Arizona. Throughout the years she has been the recipient of prizes, commendations and media publicity. Bela strives to continue to distill her truest personal expression through constant exploration, venturing into new territories while staying true to her fidelity to elegant aesthetics.

Kara Marshall

Kara Marshall

artist

As a mixed media and abstract artist, Kara's work explores the depths of human emotion. Using materials such as acrylics, ink, collage, and found objects, she creates layered compositions that evoke a range of feelings. Her process is intuitive and spontaneous, driven by an emotional response to the materials and their interaction. The unpredictability of mixed media allows her to portray the complexity of emotions by blending textures, colors, and forms in unique ways. Each piece expresses joy, sorrow, hope, or introspection, inviting viewers to connect with the painting. I intend to engage the viewer, invite interpretation, and cultivate connections.
