We run three programs: in-person field trips to arts and culture experiences for students attending Arizona's Title I schools in the Phoenix and Tucson areas, a VR Field Trip Program called Arts Immersion that brings arts and culture field trips into Title I classrooms throughout Arizona, and the Act One Culture Pass program which provides free access to arts and cultural venues for library cardholders in nearly every county in Arizona.

Alice Cooper’s Solid Rock Teen Centers Makes an Everlasting Difference in the Lives of Teens. The Rock provides FREE after school training in music, dance, photography and art as well as vocational training in sound/recording, staging/lighting, video production and more, in a cool, supervised facility for all teens ages 12-20 to engage with their peers in Phoenix & Mesa, AZ.

Arizona Repertory Singers

The Arizona Repertory Singers is an auditioned ensemble of nearly 50 singers from greater Tucson. Over the decades, the choir has developed an extensive repertory and prides itself on presenting high quality performances of both standard repertoire and new music. Its singers, selected through a rigorous audition process, represent a variety of work life careers in business, education, engineering, information technology, law, medicine, social service, science, and the arts. At The Outlet, Inc.

At The Outlet, Inc., we’re a 501(c)(3) public charity that acts like a power surge protector — a central hub where multiple programs plug in and receive energy, support, and connection. Youth of all abilities, learning styles, and diverse needs can plug in, be emPOWERed, and become conduits of creative kinetic energy through our programs. These programs include ATO Academy, our K–12 micro school and homeschool co-op with full-time academics, electives, and daily Maker Space sessions, plus accredited out-of-school time programs in partnership with local schools. Through our no-cost community outreach and performing arts programs, students participate in dance, pom, cheer, step, flag auxiliary, and drumline percussion as part of traveling performance teams — performing at events like AZ Rattlers halftime and the APS Light Parade. CIHUAPACTLI COLLECTIVE

The CC’s purpose is to provide healing for self-identifying Urban Indigenous Peoples from the diaspora. This is done by sharing wisdom, connecting resources, revitalizing Traditional Knowledge, and promoting health and wellness. Rooted in ancestral and Traditional Knowledge, the CC is committed to empowering families through four bundles: Cultural Revitalization & Education, Food Justice & Land Restoration, Birth Equity & Reproductive Justice, and Mental Health & Integrative Wellness. We support the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual self-determination families. The CC’s four defining elements are Spirituality, Knowledge, Culture, and Community. These four elements provide the foundation for all the work given that people served come from diverse Indigenous backgrounds. The CC is dedicated to decolonizing health and maternal health for low-income Urban Indigenous/BIPOC families in the South Phoenix and Central Region of Maricopa County. The Collective understands that the well-being of families is the building block of healthy communities.

City of Peoria Arts & Culture

Arts and Culture in Peoria The history of the City of Peoria’s Arts and Culture program goes back to the 1987 creation of the Peoria Arts Commission and the Percent for the Arts Program by Peoria City Council. Since that time funding for the public art program has come from a one-percent contribution from each of the City’s capital improvement projects. The Peoria Arts Grant program was created in 1998 to help promote the arts in the community. The grant program provides various funding to local arts organizations for programming in Peoria. The program is regularly modified to meet the needs of the community and is monitored to evaluate program impact. The program helps to support local arts organizations as well as attract programming from around the Phoenix region to Peoria. In Fiscal Year 2026, 42 Arts and Culture grants were awarded, totaling $300,000. In 2007, the city unveiled the new Peoria Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Peoria. The city and community have many diverse and ambitious goals for their cultural programs. In 2009, an Arts Master Plan was created that sought to align the goals into a specific set of recommendations, which provided overarching, holistic policy direction. In 2022, a new Arts & Culture Plan was approved by the Peoria City Council and provides direction of Peoria's Arts and Culture programming into the future. The plan’s vision defines that the arts in Peoria support a vibrant cultural community that is accessible, inclusive, and inspiring for all. Public Art in Peoria Public art enriches the quality of life for residents and visitors by creating spaces that are inviting and interesting. Community is strengthened by fostering cultural opportunities to engage artists and the public, through a variety of events, public art, and arts and culture programming. Peoria residents are encouraged to participate in building such a community that reflects the voice and heritage of Peoria. The Peoria Arts & Culture Commission oversees Peoria’s public art program. The seven-member commission made up of Peoria residents make recommendations to the City Council on a variety of topics in arts and culture that directly benefit the livability initiatives for the city and its residents. The livability goals for the city were adopted by the City Council included in the General Plan 2040. These goals guide the Peoria Arts and Culture Commission in seeking out public art opportunities that enhance the quality of life and create a destination that is uniquely Peoria. The public art collection is on display throughout the city in public parks, other accessible public spaces and municipal buildings such as the Peoria City Hall and the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. Funding for art projects comes from the city’s capital improvement projects (streets, parks, fire stations, etc.) which contribute one percent of the total cost of the projects into a dedicated arts fund. The arts fund is then used for acquiring public art.

In addition to serving as a clubhouse, we function as a gallery, promoting and selling members' artwork, which contributes to their sense of purpose and economic well-being. We are a professional-quality community theatre where children can grow and develop into successful and fulfilled adults. Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona

The mission of Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona is “transforming children’s trauma to resilience through the arts.” Every year, over 78,600 children in Arizona experience the pain of abuse, neglect, and homelessness. Our research-based program model, Art + Mentors = Resilience, helps children build the resilience they need to overcome their trauma by connecting them with caring adults and creative activities that develop their skills and sense of self. Free Arts serves children ages 3 to 26 years old residing in homeless and domestic violence shelters, foster care group homes, residential treatment centers, with foster and kinship families, or attend alternative program schools, using intentional art to transform children’s trauma to resilience. Free Arts is the only nonprofit organization in Arizona that brings trauma-informed creative arts programs to abused and homeless children free of charge. Many of these children have been removed from their families and have been traumatized due to physical and/or sexual abuse, neglect, or other dangerous conditions. Undergoing this type of trauma often results in feelings of shame and isolation, inability to function at school, the use of negative coping tools (like drug abuse or self-harm), and significant health risks. Children in these situations need to be connected with positive, caring adults and the opportunity to build skills and discover their talents. Our volunteer mentors support and build healthy relationships with children as they engage in the arts. Free Arts is committed to interrupting the cycle of trauma in these children’s lives and, through the arts, provide a path to a healthier life. Free Arts creates a safe environment where children can express themselves, learn new skills, developed self-efficacy, and build resilience.

Japanese Friendship Garden

​The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix, Rohoen, is an authentic 3.5 acre Japanese Stroll Garden with a tea garden and a tea house. This tranquil and beautiful setting features more than 1,500 tons of hand-picked rock, stone foot bridges, lanterns and more than 85 varieties of plants. As you stroll the path, you will enjoy flowing streams, a 14-foot waterfall, and a koi pond with over 300 colorful Koi fish.

Kids in Focus

Kids in Focus is a nonprofit organization mentoring youth to overcome adversity and build resilience through the art of photography. Since 2012, Kids in Focus has been putting cameras in kids’ hands with the guidance and encouragement of adult, volunteer mentors – many who are avid and professional photographers. Following our training program, these skilled mentors use photography to connect, engage and encourage life-long creativity. We collaborate with local schools, nonprofit community partners and foster care programs to engage valley youth through our signature After School Mentoring Program, workshops, and the Grads in Focus Program. As their photography skills develop, youth create trusting relationships and learn to see the world in new ways. The kids’ select their favorite images that become part of the Exhibits Program and are displayed at museums, community centers, schools, businesses, and cultural institutions in dozens of public installations each year. Kids in Focus provides over 700 unique experiences to over 350 students each year . We create opportunities for any child to express their unique perspective and voice with skills that foster confidence, resilience and joy.
